- I am 57 years old and heading to Belize on March 23, 2010 to serve 27 months in the Peace Corps in the Business Development section......WOW, FLASH FORWARD from two years ago when I began this Blog. I am now 59 years old (barely) and after serving for 21 months in the Peace Corps for the Institute of Creative Arts at the Bliss Centre for Performing Arts, I have just taken a job here in Belize. I am the General Manager of Heritage Real Estate Management Ltd., a holding company for several pieces of magnificent properties here in Belize. I am living in one of the properties, Heritage Point at Vista del Mar, a brand new condominium development about 10 miles north of Belize City in Ladyville. I am overseeing the finishing touches to the development, managing the maintenance of the property, showing units to prospective buyers and converting five of the units into furnished rentals. So, I am quickly learning to be the boss, the worker, the real estate agent, the hotel operator, concierge and travel agent - and loving every minute of it!
